Foundation in an all Female acapella trio founded in 2002 by co-founders Tara Middleton and Janet McDonald. In 2016 they added their newest member Camara Jordan.

Foundation explores the stories behind the songs of Africa, and African American culture. Their airtight harmonies, take you to times long past. Their soulful delivery produces an angelic sound which captivates audiences wherever they perform. Listen to them once and they will envelop you with sounds that lay sweetly on your ears.

Though deeply rooted in African traditions, Foundation's repertoire includes folk, spirituals and jazz. Their musical mission is to empower, encourage, and uplift through song, and engage audiences to share in heartfelt expressions of culture, and community.
